Robert formerly worked in the Private Asset Management Group at Goldman Sachs in Houston. While at Goldman, he and his team managed client assets for over 75 wealthy families. Robert's primary responsibilities included researching, implementing and managing equity portfolios. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Robert attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received his MBA in Finance. A 1989 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a BS in Engineering, Robert graduated in the top 5% of his class. Afterwards he was commissioned as an officer in the US Army where he served in Germany and the Gulf War as an armored cavalry scout platoon leader. He was awarded the Bronze Star for actions in combat against Iraqi armored forces of the Republican Guard.
Brian's primary responsibilities include research, implementing and managing portfolios for individuals, families and small businesses. Prior to forming St. James Investment Company, Brian started his career with American Express as a credit analyst. He later served as a consultant to the insurance industry, working for Aetna and the St. Paul Companies. Brian graduated from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY with a BBA in Business Management and Finance. Brian is an Accredited Management Specialist.
Larry formerly worked in the Private Asset Management Group at Goldman Sachs in Dallas. While at Goldman, Larry helped manage over $1 billion in high net-worth client assets for wealthy families. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Larry received his MBA from the University of North Carolina where he graduated with honors and was the recipient of the Tiger Fellowship. He received his BBA in Finance from the University of Texas in 1991 while working in the Finance Department for Dell Computer. In 2005, Larry co-founded Cuvee Ventures, a first of its kind luxury real estate fund.
Bill has been in the investment management business for over 20 years, serving as a Principal for Liberty Funds Group, Inc., where he was a founder the firm’s commodity investment strategy, Liberty Commodity Partners, LP. From its inception in 1991 through 2001, Bill was instrumental in the development and operations of Crestwood Asset Management, a registered investment advisor in Dallas, Texas with $750 million under management. In this role he served as a part of the investment team, focusing on large cap stocks incorporating a relative value investment discipline. From 1988 through 1990, Mr. Sachs was a financial advisor for Smith Barney. Prior to working in investment management, he was a petroleum engineer for Dresser Atlas focused on exploration in the offshore gulf coast and South Texas regions. He graduated in 1984 from the University of Texas in Austin, with a B.S. in Geology.
